Billboard truck taunts Rubio as he keeps distance from Trump in Palm Beach County

PBPO News:

Allies of Democrat Patrick Murphy do what campaigns do in this election season while his opponent, Republican U.S. Senator Marco Rubio, keeps his distance from Donald Trump.

Rubio spoke Thursday morning at the Boca Raton Synagogue’s closed-door event. Rubio spoke at a Boca Raton Synagogue event on Thursday morning. Trump was approximately 27.6 miles away at the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach. He was urging support from swarms of people who — as always — didn’t include Rubio. However, he did renew his endorsement for Trump this week.

American Bridge, a Super PAC ally of Murphy, sent a truck with a digital billboard to Rubio’s Boca Raton speech. The truck then went to Trump’s rally, to show how simple the drive could have been for the Senate candidate.

Olivia Perez Cubas, Rubio’s spokeswoman, stated that there was no reason for Trump to attend any of the four events in Florida this week. The rally ended with the Fairgrounds rally.

She stated that Rubio is “focused solely on his own campaign for reelection.”

American Bridge is not surprised that this view is different.

Jessica Mackler, American Bridge president, stated that Marco Rubio is a spineless politician who continues to endorse Donald Trump despite recent sexual assault comments being made public. “But then, Rubio is willing to give the nuclear codes to Donald Trump but not be seen with him in public.”
