FBI, deputies raid wrong Florida home, resident says

PBPO News:

An alarming surprise came early Thursday morning for a Florida homeowner when 40 FBI agents and sheriff’s deputy crashed through his windows and doors, with guns drawn.

Oscar Capps, the homeowner, said that he tried telling the agents and Orange County sheriff’s deputies that the man he wanted was right next door.

They claimed they had my address and a federal warrant to enter my home. I said that I would let them in. He said, “I don’t have any problem letting you into my house.”

They searched for hours his Cleburne Road house, while Capps kept telling them that they were at the wrong address.

The agents and deputies eventually turned their investigation to Capps’ home, but Capps stated that the damage to Capps’ home and emotional state was already done.

Capps stated that the law enforcement agencies had only offered to repair the home’s basic needs.

He said, “They are saying that there is nothing they can do for me.” “They will send someone out to board up the windows, and put a door on. “Where do I go from there?”

Although the FBI confirmed that it had paid a company for Capps’ doors and windows to be bailed out, it did not specify if they would pay for permanent repairs.

The raid involved law enforcement agencies that have not yet released any information.
